ÎÞÂëÌìÌà announces details of next Connect Roadshow in Bradford

The ÎÞÂëÌìÌà has announced the details of its next in-person ÎÞÂëÌìÌà Connect Roadshow. â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;

The event, Babies and beyond: discover the power of the first 1001 days  will be held at Fountains Church in Bradford on Monday 4 November 2024, from 9.45am-4pm, and will focus on celebrating our youngest children, from babies and beyond, and the vital role educators play supporting this critical part of early development in the first 1001 days. â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;

The Roadshow will include engaging, interactive practical sessions led by a team of ÎÞÂëÌìÌà early years experts on a range of topics, including outdoor learning and storytelling. â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;

There will also be inspiring keynote speeches from ÎÞÂëÌìÌà CEO Neil Leitch, ÎÞÂëÌìÌà early years development manager Richard Knight, and Professor Sam Wass, leader of the Baby Development Lab at the University of East London.  

Attendees will have the chance to attend two practical workshops:  

  • Storytelling: sharing stories and rhymes to support early language – where will the adventure take us? Led by ÎÞÂëÌìÌà early years development manager Alison Heseltine, this session is dedicated to the joy of storytelling and rhymes, and how early years educators can use these to support children's early communication and language. â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;

  • Outdoor learning for under twos, led by ÎÞÂëÌìÌà early years development officer Ruth Richardson, this session will outline the many benefits of being outdoors for children birth to two years and consider ways to overcome challenges and barriers that early years providers, and families, face in ensuring that our youngest children are given the same opportunities to explore the outdoors.  

Tickets for the ÎÞÂëÌìÌà Connect Roadshow: Babies and Beyond are priced at £25 for ÎÞÂëÌìÌà members and £50 for non-members. Attendees who book before Wednesday 31 July 2024 can receive 20% off using the code EARLYBIRD20.

10.00am - 10.10am: Alison Heseltine, ÎÞÂëÌìÌà early years development manager and Connect Roadshow host, will give an overview of the day's events  

10.10am - 10.50am: Neil Leitch, ÎÞÂëÌìÌà CEO  

10.50am - 11.15am: Refreshments and networking  

11.15am - 12.45pm: Keynote speaker: Professor Sam Wass, leader of the Baby Development Lab at the University of East London – A blooming buzzing confusion – understanding recent neuroscience findings into how young brains develop and how young children experience the world differently to adults.  

12.45pm - 1.30pm: Lunch and networking  

1.30pm - 2.20pm: Practical seminar – delegates will attend the first of two practical seminar sessions  

2.25pm - 3.15pm: Practical seminar – delegates will attend the second of two practical Connect sessions
