ÎÞÂëÌìÌà invites members to 30 hours Lobby Day

By Rachel Lawler

Westminster Lobby Day 30 hours
The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Early Education and Childcare is holding its first ever Lobby Day on 18 July 2018.

30-hours of funded childcare
The event will focus on the 30 hours scheme and will act as a channel for those invited to meet with their local MP to discuss how the 30 hours is affecting their childcare setting or business. It will take place from 11am to 3pm.

As a founding sponsor of the APPG, the ÎÞÂëÌìÌà is able to invite early years practitioners to join the Lobby Day – although space in the meeting room is limited so only a limited number of providers can be invited.

Take part
ÎÞÂëÌìÌà members who are currently working in the sector, have been affected by the 30 hours, and would like to attend the Lobby Day should email feedback@pre-school.org.uk before 5pm on Friday 22 June.

Those that want to attend should email their name, early years role and setting name, if applicable. In response to feedback following previous APPG meetings, successful invitees will be chosen at random and all other names places on a waiting list to be selected at random when spaces become available.

Attendees will be expected to contact their MPs ahread of time to arrange a meeting at some point during the Lobby Day. Template letters can be provided to assist with setting up the meeting.
Further information about the day will be given to chosen attendees.
