Celebrating a successful Annual Conference and Volunteer Awards

Initial feedback from our 2017 Annual Conference has been overwhelmingly positive.

The ÎÞÂëÌìÌà would like to extend a huge thank you to all staff, volunteers, members and others who attended the event on Friday 16 June.

With an exciting opening line-up of keynote speakers including our own chief executive Neil Leitch, the Director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies Paul Johnson, and Community Justice Scotland Chief Executive Karyn McCluskey, the event began strongly.

Many delegates found the opening conference inspiring and thought-provoking with excellent feedback received about the quality of the catering and venue too.

After delegates spent time enjoying the exhibition and networking opportunities over lunch, there was an opportunity to celebrate the amazing contribution of our volunteers at the ÎÞÂëÌìÌà Volunteer Awards, hosted by Kate Garraway (with some very special helpers from one of our local settings!) followed by three dynamic, practical workshops which gave delegates a chance to update their skills, share best practice and success stories. This finished off a busy day.

Once again, we are very grateful to everyone who helped to make the day such a great success, and we hope to see you again at next years’ event!
